Boca Raton

Boca has much to offer with miles of public beaches, 40 parks, 40+ miles of bike lanes, three universities and two libraries. The city strives to highlight the cultural and environmental presence of its community, especially with its recycling and beautification programs. Boca Raton has been the leading the charge in Florida to protect its natural resources, being certified as a Tree City, U.S.A for more than 20 years and by winning the Keep American Beautiful Recycling Achievement Award for recycling more than 12 years before the state passed the Solid Waste Act.

Boca Raton’s beautiful roadways lead to several nature preserves like the Cypress Knee Sough Preserve, the Blazing Star Preserve, the Yamato Scrub, Red Reef Park and Sugar Sand Park. Boca Raton also offers educational experiences for all ages at the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Education Center at Red Reef Park, which exhibits a 40-foot observation tower and live reptiles and marine life; and at the Daggerwing Nature Center at the South County Regional Park that features interactive exhibits and guided tours.  Looking for more wildlife? Take an airboat ride across the Loxahatchee Preserve to see alligators and great blue herons up close, or observe tropical fish while snorkeling off Red Reef Park!

Boca Raton also hosts one of Florida’s largest wine tasting parties each year that’s the signature event for the Boca Festival Days that features a variety of city-wide events for the entire community to enjoy!
